By the end of the plague about 260 villagers had died while the surrounding villages and towns remained relatively unscathed. Visit the Eyam Museum for an authentic history of the plague.

Eyam church dates from the Saxon times and there is an 8th Century Celtic cross in the church yard which is said to be one of the finest in England. Eyam Hall is a 17th century manor house, open to the public with gift shops and restaurants within the grounds.
